Jewelry making

Visits home always turn into craft time. These are the makings of a pair for a special someone.

Bookshelves

This is a photo of my bookshelf at my parents house. You will see my favorite books from high school...mostly Salinger and things like Sylvia Plath or if you look to the far end you will find my collection of Ray Bradbury works. In middle school he was my favorite author. Also I have some home-run balls from softball and little trinkets. It's nice to go home and remember where you have come from.

Mix tapes

The art of making the perfect mix tape has been lost with the advance of technology. A very special someone made these for me back when I was in college. I hope she is doing well.

Miss Minerva

This was one of my favorite books growing up. It was VERY old and sat on the bookshelf at my grandparents house. If I was really good my grandmother would let me gently take it down and read it. I cherished this book and honored it. When my grandmother passed away I took it from the bookshelf to keep. Everytime I see the old red book I think of her fondly.

Woke up to this

Willet, ibis, and baby dolphins were swimming right outside my tent. I love the Keys.

Pumpkin!

I LOVE pumpkin beer. It may be hot in South Florida but at least we have seasonal beer!

This one may be a close second to my all-time favorite pumpkin beer that I found on draft in Georgia.
